One week after fatal shooting of Vernon hotel owner, crowd gathers to protest and grieve

Slain hotel owner Zeshan Chaudhry, who’d lived at the Vernon Motel 6 since buying it nearly a year ago, was striving to build a community for his guests until he was shot to death by a patron last week, his younger brother says.
