Thirty-six years after she disappeared following public fights with her ex-boyfriend, police still don’t know what happened to April Grisanti. The older man was convicted of kidnapping her but not with murder – her body never was found. The boyfriend, James “Purple” Aaron, also was questioned in the death of his estranged wife four years earlier: Mary Aaron’s body turned up in a wooded area of Norwalk in yet another unsolved case, this one being investigated by the state police. Now that Aaron himself has died, Grisanti’s family just wants to know where she is. “This is not a ‘whodunit,’ ” Gina Grisanti, April’s sister, said. “This is, ‘Let’s find her.’ ”
