April 24 marks the commencement of the Armenian genocide that took over 1.5 million lives in a series of massacres by the Ottoman government in the shadows of World War I. The Armenian Genocide Commemoration Committee of Connecticut has spent decades, dating back to the 80s, to remember the event, and although virtual, will continue to do so this year.
