New COVID-19 treatment comes to Connecticut hospitals, but it’s in highly limited supply and helpful only to some patients

Days after receiving its first doses of a new COVID-19 antibody treatment, Bristol Hospital on Wednesday was inviting recently infected staff members to try it.With recent tests showing bamlanivimab can reduce the disease’s severity, the hospital is hoping its initial allocation of 14 treatments will help return some of its stricken staff return to good health - and to work.
